One window to the soul

I started a pharmacy department in my bathroom for Bowie, the sevenish-week old kitten I took in last Saturday. I gave her eyedrops four times a day, general antibiotics, ointment and spray twice a day, but in the end, there was nothing they could do to save her eye (I might possibly have blacked out once the words "burst" and "eye" were used together so I'm not sure what the technical details are).

Weighing only 1 lb. 2 oz.*, I had to leave her at the vet's office today to have her eye removed.

*less than two cans of Campbell's tomato soup

Bowie will feel so much better once the thing that is causing all the infection is gone. But it's hard to do just the same. :(

You have such an incredibly kind soul. You are an angel.

Do you have a name yet? You'll have to call her One-Eyed Fiona. We took in a stray once that had lost one eye probably in a fight. That's what we named her. She was a good cat. I miss her.

Mayor: I know you're right, but sometimes nature sucks ass.

Junque: she's been in such pain, I'll be relieved to see her suffering end.

Candy: HA! I can think of a few who would disagree with you, but thank you, nonetheless.

Dwayne: Fiona's a nice name, but I had already named her Bowie when I first saw her, and it kind of fits.

Leah: you last update says February...?

Stephen: I know...I'm guessing I'll be spoiling her with wet food for the rest of her life (who am I kidding? I spoil all my cats).

Kay: HAHA! A pirate, she shall be. Guess you're the proud not-so-much-a-catperson godmother!

Wench: at least the thongie thingies are clean ;)

OH Indi! I'm so glad you brought her home to love (and her siblings, so she won't be alone or afraid)
I think you're wonderful. I would have blacked out if they had told me that too. It actually hurts to know that my little ones are hurting. I hope she's gonna do so much better. (I know she's gonna be loved) BIG HUGS, Steph

Terri and Steph: she seems so clingy now that I brought her home...which is perfect since I love to be clinged to ;)

How's she doing Indi? Why did they have to remove the eye? Wouldn't it have been ok healing up the infection but leaving it? She's so tiny and sweet, what a doll. She'd be my 'baby' for sure! How are her sis and brother doing? I WANT PICS! BIG HUGS, Steph
