Insomnia and the spotless mind

Joel: Is there any risk of brain damage?

Howard: Well, technically speaking, the operation is brain damage, but on a par with a night of heavy drinking. Nothing you'll miss.

Not that I keep a running list of favorite top 10 movies in my head, but if I did, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind would be holding steady at the #7 slot. The premise is fascinating: erase a person and all associated events from your memory.

If you received a card in the mail that stated you had been erased from someone's memory and not to contact them, would you? Just to mess with them? Would you be destined to meet again? Will I ever stop obsessing about this movie?

The movie was an interesting concept and I felt it was a good mind screw movie.

Should we erase the memories of mistakes we have made? When we do we setup ourselves up to make them again because we would not know that it was a mistake, thus almost making the mistake destiny.

I have yet to see it, when it comes on tv it is always in the middle of it and I don't want to watch. I do like The Butterfly effect which I guess might have the same concept? Happy Holidays.

hahaha I think we all know you well enough to safely say -- you won't give it up that easily.
A card? Like that is some kind of stopping point???
;^)

Darren: I like to think I learn from mistakes, but if I could never remember them, I might think I was without flaws...which would be kind of CRAZY!

Leah: Yeah, I really liked Butterfly Effect, too. I was so surprisingly impressed by Jim Carey, though, wow!

Jock: in the words of Nat King Cole, you are unforgettable...

Brenda: I'd probably forget to put postage on my cards, anyway ;)

I love that movie. The stoned, half-naked, jumping on the bed part was a bit too familiar though

I've never seen that movie. I will have to watch it sometimes.

Have you started the new job? If so, Do you like it or can you tell yet? I hope you like it and that it does not take much adjustment time to feel comfortable and adapt to the new environment. (I am saying that from my experience at my new job, I feel semi-comfortable now...LOL)

Happy Thanksgiving Sweety! :)

Sarah: I read that they had to cut the sex scene due to time constraints. Bastards.

Michelle: It's WONDERFUL - I would buy it if I could find it in a store. And the new job...is an adjustment, definitely. I work longer hours, wear higher heels and skip lunch. So this is moving UP?

I love that movie! I bought it and then forgot it and actually paid to rent it once. It was a happy surprise when I found it again on my DVD shelf.

It's a perfect movie-watching day here in the tundra, and I know just the one to pick.

Thanks for the reminder.

Oh, and in the grand scheme of things, this is one of the healthier obsessions I've heard of, so don't worry.

Today's word verification? Something I've been trying to do since Thursday:
